Due to the nature of producing custom parts for clients, there is often the need for clients to send in original parts in order to aid with the design and manufacturing of these parts. More often than not, these are one-off or discontinued / obsolete. PartMaker understands the significance of this and as such, employed a high-end inventory management system, the CTMS MATRIX Mini Cabinet, to securely store and properly catalogue each item.

These storage cabinets work by locally cataloguing items via an internal system and providing varying levels of security through a variety of traditional and even biometric systems. This means that customer parts are not only properly accounted for, but also kept secure.

Furthermore, during the manufacturing of parts, the customer parts are usually retrieved from the MATRIX cabinet to be measured and used for comparison in the final quality control stages before returning to storage after use. The MATRIX cabinet gives the ability to have the employee or user be tracked against each removal and return of the parts so that PartMaker has total record of who and when customer parts are accessed. Furthermore, specific access can also be set up so that only certain employees can access certain parts in the cabinet.
