Nobel Biocare Ball Abutment Cap
A client recently approached PartMaker with the hopes of manufacturing a cap that would fit with a Nobel Biocare ball abutment. They needed a 2.5mm cap and Nobel Biocare doesn’t manufacture them in that specific size, hence the client was not able to source it traditionally through the manufacturer. As a result of this, the client and the team at PartMaker worked together to hash out the manufacturing criteria for the part before proceeding with the manufacturing.
Ball Abutment & Cap In Use
The abutment cap works by having a dental o-ring placed inside it which provides the necessary interference for the ball head abutment to fit securely. The design for the cap was referenced from the original part as well to provide usage familiarity and prevent compatibility issues
