Zeramax P6 Zirconia Implant

A local Melbourne prosthodontist had approached PartMaker recently with a need for titanium screws made for the Zeramax P6 system, as they are unfortunately obsolete. The prosthodontist had encountered a young patient which had the implants put in seven years ago due to aesthetic concerns.

The Zeramax P6 system is characterised by its ability to accept high tensile forces and hence, its low loss rate. This is achieved by the VICARBO® screw, which is made from reinforced, high performance carbon fibre threads. Unfortunately for the patient however, their implants were damaged hence the need for replacement parts.

The existing Zeramax parts, such as the carbon fibre reinforced screw and the zirconia base, were retrieved from the patient’s implant. The parts were then sent to the team at PartMaker, and a 3D model of the part was made to then be manufactured. A digital library was also created to accompany the new parts.
